About Us

As a third-generation owner of Pugerudes, Jill grew up in the design and drapery business. Her design degree from the Art Institute of Seattle and over 20 years experience makes her an expert in interior design and window coverings .

Many interior designers rely on Jill and her window coverings expertise. In her career Jill has seen many unique and hard to treat windows, and has come up with amazing solutions. Arched windows, angle windows, even corner and bay windows are not a problem for her. She is able to find economical solutions for the budget conscious, and exquisite solutions for the more discerning client. When she is not working, Jill is busy running kids around from one activity to another. She also enjoys keeping herself fit and enjoys the friends she has made in the Triathlon community.

Dave is our guy that wears many hats. After a career in the voice and data networking industry, he joined up with Jill to take over the family business. Dave handles most of our installation duties, as well as marketing stuff, bookkeeping stuff, and fixing stuff. For him it seems no two days are alike. Dave has seen lots of different and tricky window treatment installation situations over the years including; Motorized skylight shades twenty six feet in the air (lots of scaffolding required), difficult to access windows over stairs, outdoor drapery's, large plantation shutters, drapery on curved rods, and commercial drapery installation. Dave favorite thing to hear is when the customer says "I love it"! This is a satisfying sound, and it means we have all done our job right - from designer to workroom to installer. He also enjoys seeing a customers eyes light up after we have reupholstered a piece of furniture for them. When we reupholster an antique chair, or recover a sofa our customers are thrilled with the make over. They are always excited about the finished product. When not working Dave loves the sport of Triathlon and endurance sports in general. He has completed several marathons, and recently completed his first Ironman race.

Susan Toohey is the newest designer to join the Pugerudes and believes all great design begins with listening to and understanding the client’s lifestyle and aspirations. Doing so leads to a design for living!

Susan graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Studies/Interior Design, has taught college level interior design classes, and continues to update her knowledge and skills. With over fifteen years experience in the interior design field, Susan is well equipped to assist you with all your interior design needs; be it one window or an entire home.
